Our Top Five Essential Apps

We know that when you’re running your own business, things can get a bit busy.

You’re often working on several things at once, juggling multiple clients or customers – and, of course, managing your own admin, too!

Luckily, there are plenty of apps out there which can help to make your life easier. Here are some of our favourites!

Trello

This useful app enables you to set up ‘boards’ for the projects that you’re working on. It’s easy to manage different projects and track your progress using lists and a useful colour labelling system. It’s simple, but it’s effective!

Canva

Even if you’re a whizz with more complex editing software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, there’s no beating Canva when it comes to its huge variety of different templates and graphics.

With the paid option, you can even keep track of your brand’s colour palettes and fonts – ensuring that your feed never falters.

Pinterest

A haven for what is essentially online scrapbooking, Pintertest allows you to browse images uploaded by other users and ‘pin’ them to your own boards – meaning that it’s perfect for finding inspiration and assembling ideas and themes. You can even upload your own images for other users to collect!

Hootsuite

If you’re responsible for managing multiple social media accounts for your business, Hootsuite is going to be your saviour. You can schedule posts for different accounts in advance, access all of your social media messages in one inbox, and so much more!

FreeAgent

If you’re relatively new to running your own business, FreeAgent is super helpful for keeping track of your finances. You can review money coming into and going out of your accounts, send invoices, and even review the amount of tax you’ll need to pay.
